2018 Holiday Bash
Program Description: Celebrate the holidays with the Cangelosi Baseball staff for our Annual 3-Day Holiday Bash. The first two days will cover offensive and defensive fundamentals, utilizing our batting cages and Major League sized infield. We’ll wrap up the program on December 28th with a skills competition and pizza party. Awards will be given out to the top performers at each age group.
Ages: 6-13 years old
Dates: Wednesday Dec 26th, Thursday Dec 27th, and Friday Dec 28th (3 days)
Times:
9:30a-12:00p 6-9 year olds
12:30p-3:00p 10-13 year olds
Price: $165 or $148.50 for Cangelosi Members
Format:
Day 1
Defensive skilled day. Players will cover all defensive fundamentals. On the infield – double plays, diving plays, slow rollers, backhands. In the outfield – drop-steps, proper crow-hops, scaling the wall. Behind the plate – receiving the ball, throwing to bases, pop-ups, plays at home. On the mound – proper mechanics, pick-off moves, fielding their position.
Day 2
Offensive skilled day. Players will cover two strike approach, opposite field hitting, bunting, how to drive the baseball, baserunnning.
Day 3
Total skills competition day followed by a pizza party. This entire day will be filled with a variety of competitive skills. Each player will get a scorecard and receive scores from each station. The stations will be – home run derby, target hitting, bunting in the coned area, road runner on the bases, strongest arm, most accurate arm, and quickest release.
