Cangelosi 2015-Black finish 2nd at Perfect Game’s Kernels Tournament and has 17 players named to All-Tourney Team

This past weekend Cangelosi Baseball sent 4 teams to the prestigious Kernels Tournament in Cedar Rapids, IA powered by Perfect Game USA. Cangelosi 2015’s Black, led by Head Coach Kellen Kmiciek, finished up 2nd out of 48 teams. They lost to the Reds Midwest Scout Team 11-6 in a well fought game that needed extra frames. Cangelosi 2015 Black found themselves down 5-0 through 2 innings before putting up a 4 spot in the bottom of the 3rd to put them right back in the game. They eventually tied the game up at 6 a piece in the bottom of the 6th inning after Brad Stratinsky singled to knock in Ryan Kairis. The Reds put up a 5 spot in the top of the 10th, which was enough to do it for them. This was the furthest any Cangelosi Fall team has gone in 13 years at Perfect Game’s Kernels Event.
