We’re excited to announce a fresh chapter for Bo Jackson’s Blast Softball, our girls travel softball program for athletes ages 8U–18U. As part of this exciting re-vamp, we’re proud to welcome Kara Agne as our new Director of Softball and the driving force behind the future of the program.

Kara brings a unique blend of playing experience, coaching passion, and leadership skills to her role. A native of Yorkville, IL, Kara starred at Yorkville High School before playing collegiately at Purdue Northwest University. But Kara’s impact goes far beyond the diamond. A kindergarten teacher by profession, Kara has a deep-rooted passion for education and development—making her the perfect fit to lead our youth and travel programs. Coaching runs in her blood, and she is fully committed to helping each athlete grow as a player and a confident young woman.

Under Kara’s leadership, Bo Jackson’s Blast Softball is doubling down on what matters most: individual player development, competitive excellence, and a team-first culture. Our teams train twice per week from November through April, with a balanced approach designed to maximize development and deepen our players’ love for the game.

Half of each week’s training sessions will be led by Kara and her staff, focusing on individual skill development—hitting, fielding, pitching, and fundamentals. The other half will be guided by team head coaches and centered around team strategy and game-play execution.
