Do it Stevie’s Way Award
The Do It Stevie’s Way Award is one of the highest honors in Sparks Baseball, recognizing a senior player who embodies passion, dedication, and respect for the game—just like former Sparks player Stevie Bajenski did. Voted on by their peers, the recipient exemplifies leadership, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to excellence on and off the field.
Stevie’s legacy lives on through this award and the Do It Stevie’s Way 2:19 Foundation, which shares the Sparks values of hard work, sportsmanship, and love for the game. Players are selected based on key criteria, including dedication to improvement, maximum effort, a positive attitude, and being a great teammate.
The winner receives a $2,500 scholarship and a commemorative plaque, presented at the opening ceremonies of the Do It Stevie’s Way Tournament. This award reflects Sparks Baseball’s commitment to developing not just great athletes, but great people who play the game the right way—Stevie’s way.
