Former Trinity Christian Standout Steven Pellack to Manage 9U Sparks Team for 2025–2026 Season
Cangelosi Sparks Baseball is proud to announce the addition of former Trinity Christian College first baseman Steven Pellack as the manager of a 9U Sparks team for the 2025–2026 season.

A decorated collegiate athlete, Pellack brings both playing excellence and a passion for youth development to the Sparks organization. He played two years at Triton College (2007, 2008) before finishing
his college career at Trinity Christian College (2009, 2010). Over the course of his four-year career, Pellack earned All-Conference honors each season, and in 2009, he was named NCCAA
Player of the Year – North Central Region and earned the prestigious title of NCCAA All-American, recognizing him as one of the top players in the nation.
In addition to his baseball pedigree, Pellack is a full-time high school teacher with 15 years of experience, bringing with him a strong background in leadership, mentorship, and communication. He resides in New Lenox, Illinois, with his wife Deanna and their two children, Mason (8) and Tenley (5).
Pellack shared his excitement about joining Sparks and his vision for youth coaching:
“My coaching philosophy is centered on fostering a lifelong love for the game of baseball while guiding players in the development of proper skills and a strong foundation. I believe that when players enjoy what they’re doing, they are more motivated, engaged, and eager to improve. My approach emphasizes fun, learning, and growth—on and off the field.
I take a hands-on approach to coaching, working closely with players to ensure they are progressing each year. I encourage them to trust the process and focus on steady improvement, rather than short-term results. Above all, I prioritize the physical and mental well-being of each player. While winning can be a rewarding part of sports, my true measure of success is in helping young athletes grow in confidence, character, and competence. My goal is to create an environment where players feel supported, challenged, and excited to play the game.
I am excited to join the Sparks and carry on a winning tradition!”
